Does my life go between A and B only? A – My time of birth, and B – my time of death.
Do I exist only between these two points?
If I accept this life only between them, this thoroughly puts a big question mark over this universe and universal law. The material is ever-changing its state, the energy ever-flowing. Everything goes from one state to another only. Things neither accumulate nor go to waste. If I’m from this universe or this universe is from me, in either case, no one goes for an eternal death. If there is a birth, then death is a must. If there is death, another birth is inevitable. It’s a change of state. If you don’t want to die, then don’t get born. If this is so, what does remain with us, and what goes away and where..? Even a material like wood when burnt to ashes, some of the residuals from the basic elements vanish in the air in the form of smoke. That means the basic things remain and only the form has changed. The leaves from a tree shed off and take shelter on the surface of the earth. Later, over time, they turn to become humus content in the soil. Again making a breeding component to the tree and this cycle goes on and on. In the case of human beings, it looks more complicated. Yes, the body elements go back from where they had come. But as for the subtle body, our spirit or energy system is concerned, which is eternal by nature, this will not and cannot be destroyed by any means. It also hangs out in the air after the death of the body. This subject is so personal that every soul seeks its type of remedy when it comes out of the body-like experience. It wanders or gets stagnant (according to its nature and intellect) and waits for a suitable body that would fulfill its remaining desire and passion.
This world has created an endless stock of things that easily can magnetize a person to come and fulfill their desire. Yet it never reaches to fill. You get to devour over it, you get to stick to it, and you need more demand for it. There is no match between our wishes and getting them fulfilled. There is a time lag. Another reason to seek another birth is that in the older ages, we consciously or unconsciously let ourselves engage in asking and demanding. Our brain, which is the best example of reflecting all that it sees in this universe, always takes shelter in the stream of passion. It simply means your brain through the power of your spirit or energy system laid countless patches over the canvas of life. And your energy system or subtle body goes for an ever-ending process of life and death. The power of lust for life seems so magnetic. Rebirth is not a reality in a sense. Unfulfilled passions are the reality that pushes up the soul for an endless cycle of life and death. That means, life seems like a terrible journey created by ourselves. Solution? Either you vanish your identity in the ocean of endless universal forces and be at eternal peace, or you live your life like an enlightened person- venture in for the vast journey and float your boat over the current and do not let water ( this world) accumulate upon your boat. Otherwise, your boat will sink, for sure!
At first sight, this universe looks very callous, cruel, and insensible. It works only to let creatures fall and make you insatiable. Make them their pray. The universe has endless appetite, and it can only make us its feeding material.
From a different approach, the universe stands to help us only. It has spread its arms to hug us, yes, with love. It will open up endlessly when we wish to ask it. We ask it to offer several replies. We try to open just one door, it lets itself open to all its doors. There is hardly any division between us. The simple thing is that what makes us move on, is the same universal force applied within everyone – to one and all!
The reality is a non-dual relationship between us. What I see in others, reflects me. What others see in me reflects on me, too. What I’ve reflected is just a reflection of the universe.
