Love and Attachment

Love- we know all about it. We all talk about it, and, maybe, we also feel it.

But, do we know it in the true sense..?

A mother loves her son or her daughter. A father loves his daughter or his son. Or, we tend to love what attracts us. A thing which has something we want to have, that ‘something’, isn’t it?
How will we separate ‘love’ and ‘attachment? They both look the same but they are seated far from each other, almost like the north and the south.

Love makes us sensitive. and more responsible. As you have a beloved child, similarly all other people may have that beloved child, too. If your love makes you feel that way and cause you to become a ‘responsible person’, then you are under the aura of love. If, it happens just the opposite with you, meaning that you’re not ready to sense other people’s sphere of relationship, in that case only your child remains sovereign and nobody else is there. It means that you are disconnected from other’s sensible relationships, and you just have to stick (connect) to your own, to your ‘own body, to your child, to your friend, etc’. The definition of “your own and the other” is at a very contrasting level, and there is little chance to communicate on either side. That is a good example of an attachment. Attachment hence is confined to a person, when love is not confined, or it is confined to the cosmos, confined to a bigger sphere like the society, the country, or the entire world.

Love has a sense that it is wide and infinite. The attachment doesn’t!

The attachment makes you confined. Love widens and awakens you by knowing others.
The attachment is also a kind of love, but at a very low frequency. Love is the opposite; it’s a higher platform where you can be connected widely.

Attachment is low and weak, love is high and powerful!

If you are emotionally attached to something or someone, then ask yourself: Am I like a fly that gets attracted to the honey and sticks to it until its death? Or, am I like a bee that enjoys the honey and never sticks to it?

Let’s imagine this world like a honey. Then, what would you like to be? – a fly or a bee?

Would you like to stick to the honey, here in this worldly affair, or…..???

Ask yourself!
